I think it's about time that I revamped a little bit about myself, since although a lot of who I am is still the same, there's quite a bit that's different. First off, a generic profile. I'm 5'9" to 5'10" (it depends sometimes, I'm still not sure what it depends on, though), 170 pounds (give or take a couple, depending on what I'm weighted down with at the time), brown-black thick hair, glasses (can't wear contacts), a somewhat skinny frame (I'm a little bony), and relatively plain features. That takes care of the physical. Now for more interesting stuff.
I am a programmer by trade, though I am not a techie; if you ask me about the latest processor or video card, I wouldn't be able to tell you. Interestingly enough, I tend to eschew new technology for the tried and true stuff; when I connect to Multi-User domains, I tend to use telnet rather than anything like GMUD or ZMUD or the like. As a result of my tendencies, I'm usually the last to hear about anything new, unless it happens to be in my particular baliwick or area of interest. Oh, and that's another thing. I have a very extended vocabulary, and I tend to use it extensively, though I try not to overdo it.
A couple of general likes/dislikes for you: I am a bit of a romantic at heart, though I don't read romance novels; in the stories I DO read, however, I like to see the main character deeply involved over a course of time. I primarily read sci-fi and fantasy novels with a healthy dose of comedy mixed in, but I also enjoy an occasional mystery and non-fiction book here and there, and I'm trying to catch up on all of my Shakespeare, though I've taken a break from that for the time being. I like all sorts of music ranging from all sorts of time periods, but with the exception of a few works, I can't STAND Rap, Death Metal, Rap/Reggae (what else can you call it?), and Country. Favorite group is Tears For Fears, no question. I encourage everyone to listen to their B-sides, as they have a lot of good music you never hear on the radio. An easy way to get my attention is to mention Bruce Campbell or Monty Python; you can't go wrong with a good solid opening line there. Also, I am a gamer; I'm a little out of practice these days, but I'll never turn down a challenge, and I'm accomplished enough to have won a few regional tournaments in my day. My main problem though is that I don't have a killer instnct when it comes to winning; I don't WANT to be the best. As a result, I don't think I've ever pushed myself to the limit of what I can do. In terms of gaming, at least. I am an avid hockey fan, and being from Michigan, I am a fan of the Detroit Red Wings. Go Wings!
Areas of interest: I am a furry, albeit a 'casual' one, I guess you could say. I don't own a fursuit or anything, and I've only been to one or two conventions. I am fairly active in the furry community, however, and have been around for quite a long time, just under the radar. And that's the way I like it, honestly. Enough attention to be able to hang with friends, but not enough so that my time is precious. I am also a recreational bowler, with membership in some leagues. I tend to be about a 200 average bowler, and have hit a perfect game once in my life. Fortunately, I have the ring to prove it. I am also a golfer, and I seem to be improving, but I am by no means a proficient golfer. However, I seem to be able to shoot under 50 for a 9 now. Just barely. I enjoy collecting certain comics, most notably Thieves & Kings by Mark Oakely, which I am sorry to say seems to be on hiatus for the time being. However, it's a wonderful story and wonderful artwork, and I heartily encourage anyone to check it out.
General Strengths: Smart, dependable, honest, trustworthy, confidential, resistance to heat, eccentric sense of humor, knowledge of obscure facts, ability to follow orders, willingness to adapt, strategist, strong imagination, strong sense of duty and loyalty, never gets lost
General weaknesses: Meek, solitary personality, non-confrontational, picky, aversion to cold, (classified), curious, unmotivated (certain aspects), (classified), (classified), shy, private, uncomfortable with large crowds, (classified), (classified), (classified), cynical, loyalty complex
Unusual talents: Ability to untie any knot.
